With Boll: Berlin and Düsseldorf host double match day

German table tennis record champions Borussia Düsseldorf have announced an extraordinary home game in a foreign hall – with Timo Boll as a prominent guest. On January 18, Düsseldorf will host a Bundesliga double game day for the first time together with ten-time women's champions ttc eastside Berlin. Düsseldorf's club ambassador Boll is also expected to be there in the capital.

“We love coming to our fans, but for many of them the journey to Düsseldorf is too far, which is why we have already played home games in Munich, Hamburg and most recently Würzburg,” said Borussia managing director Alexander Schilling in a statement. The double match day with the Berlin women's team is “something special,” he added.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. with the Berlin women's team, led by European champions Nina Mittelham and Mia Griesel, taking on ESV Weil. Düsseldorf will then face TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell, featuring German veteran Dimitrij Ovtcharov (3:30 p.m.). Düsseldorf club legend Boll will be available for autographs and other activities around the event at the Sportforum Berlin.
