TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau: Maciej Kubik extends contract by two years
TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau has announced the next important personnel change: Maciej Kubik, like Head Coach Slobodan Grujic before him, has extended his contract with the Bundesliga table tennis club by two years. The young Pole, who celebrates his 21st birthday in February, has been playing for the TTC since summer 2022.
"I'm delighted that Maciej has extended his contract by two years," says TTC head coach Slobodan Grujic. "He has great potential and his personality fits perfectly into our team. We are focussing on continuity and hope that we can keep the core of the team in Grenzau. The extension of Maciej's contract is an important first signal."
Kubik won the important final doubles match alongside Sam Walker at the start of the second half of the season in Grünwettersbach, giving the team two very important points at ASV. In the 2022/23 season, Kubik had a strong 8:11 record right from the start. There is still room for improvement in the current season (2:9 record), but Kubik's potential is beyond question.
"We are convinced that Maciej will go his own way and continue to develop as a player," says TTC manager Markus Ströher. "And that means he will also be a valuable player for us in our team. We are therefore looking forward to two more years with him."
"I'm very happy to be continuing my table tennis journey in Grenzau," says Maciej Kubik. "I really enjoy playing for this team. I have the chance to compete with the best players in the world and to be supported by our great fans. My personal goal is to stabilise my performance at a high level and continue to develop. I would like to achieve the maximum possible with the team. For the future, it would be great if we could make it to the play-offs."
