TTC Neu-Ulm remains on track for success
In the fourth match, the TTC Neu-Ulm landed the third victory in the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL). They won 3:1 against TSV Bad Königshofen.
The guests of TSV Bad Königshofen had to mourn some injuries and went into the match weakened. Yukiya Uda and Kilian Ort were not in the match and Bastian Steger started against Truls Moregardh despite an injury. However, this attempt was not crowned with success. Steger lost the first set 5:11 and after just under six minutes he had to retire due to his injury. "We have five players in the squad and three of them could not play," reported Bad Königshofen's Kilian Ort. "Basti was injured, could not move freely and had problems with his thigh."
Nevertheless, the guests equalised at 1-1 after the second singles. Filip Zeljko got the upper hand over Lev Katsman in three sets and won the match 3:0 (15:13, 12:10, 11:7). But then it was Neu-Ulm's turn again.
Truls Moregardh wins both games
Vladimir Sidorenko had no major problems against Martin Allegro in a 3:1 (12:10, 12:10, 8:11, 11:6) win and gave his team a 2-1 lead. And Truls Moregardh put the lid on in his second match of the evening. The Swede lost the first set against Filip Zeljko but eventually won 3:1 (9:11, 11:6, 11:7, 11:9).
"Even if the sets are close, you always have to play to win," Moregardh said. "I managed some points well and I am very happy with my game." The next match for Moregardh and the Neu-Ulm team is already this Friday, the cup fight at SV Werder Bremen. "After that, I will be in China for a total of six weeks and will of course play in the World Cup there," reports Moregardh.
