TTC Neu-Ulm lands second home win

TTC Neu-Ulm lands second home win

On the third matchday of the German Table Tennis League (TTBL), TTC Neu-Ulm landed its second home win. The score against TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau was 3:1 for the Swabians after just under two hours.

TTC Neu-Ulm continues to change its line-up. After Ovtcharov, Moregardh and Katsman played on the first matchday of the German Table Tennis League (TTBL) and Artemenko, Katsman and Grebnev played a week later, Moregardh, Grebnev and Sidorenko played this time.

Both teams had one home win and one away defeat each after the second match day. In their own hall, TTC Neu-Ulm naturally wanted to win for the second time. After slight problems in the first set, Truls Moregardh won the match against Samuel Walker 3:1 (12:14, 11:7, 11:8, 11:7) and put Neu-Ulm in the lead. Patrick Baum, however, immediately equalized for TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau. The 35-year-old defeated Maksim Grebnev 3:1 (6:11, 11:7, 11:8, 12:10).

Truls Moregardh gets two points

Grenzau's Yi-Hsin Feng went into the duel with Vladimir Sidorenko with a flawless record of four wins from his first four matches of the season - which put the 19-year-old at the top of the table tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) player rankings before this matchday. However, Feng had little chance against the player from Neu-Ulm. Sidorenko won the match clearly 3:0 (11:7, 11:9, 16:14).

The match between Truls Moregardh and Patrick Baum was also a clear affair. The Swede clearly dominated the match, winning 3:0 and securing the 3:1 victory for TTC Neu-Ulm.
Lev Katsman didn't play himself this time, but he analyzed the performance of his Neu-Ulm teammates after the match: "That was a good performance by our team. Truls played very well again today; what he does at the table is sometimes not normal. Maksim also played well, but lost the fight. And Vladimir fought, moved well and showed a good performance."
