Top scorer Falck: Bremen wins 3:1 against Grünwettersbach

On the last home match of this season in the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL), SV Werder Bremen celebrated another victory at home. On Sunday, there was a 3:1 against ASV Grünwettersbach.  

After the first leg went to ASV Grünwettersbach with 3:2, SV Werder Bremen wanted to take revenge in their own hall to be able to say goodbye to the summer break with a home win and a good feeling.

Top scorer Falck strikes again

Sportsman of the Year in Bremen and already before the match day certainly the best record of the season - Mattias Falck wanted to back up this honor with a strong performance on the last match day of the season and extend his strong record once again. And he succeeded very well in his first singles match against Deni Kozul. With 11:4, 11:7 and 11:4 the player from Bremen won confidently with 3:0 and brought his team in front of the home crowd in the lead. In the second singles match of the day, Kirill Gerassimenko and Tiago Apolonia faced each other. This match also went 3:1 (11:6, 10:12, 14:12, 11:4) to the hosts from Bremen.

In the duel of the two 3s, Xi Wang had a clear advantage against Marcelo Aguirre and brought ASV back to 1:2. But Mattias Falck quickly destroyed the hopes of ASV to catch up and won 3:0 (12:10, 13:11, 11:9) against Tiago Apolonia and extended his record to 28:8.
