The tension is rising: Cup showdown in 50 days

Cup fever is on the rise, the showdown in the Liebherr Cup Final Four will take place in 50 days. The first two participants, Borussia Düsseldorf and ASV Grünwettersbach, have already been confirmed. Tickets for the top event on January 7 are available from €15.

Numerous top stars will once again be waiting for spectators in the ratiopharm arena Ulm/Neu-Ulm in 2024: Timo Boll will be there, as will Dang Qiu, Wang Xi, Tiago Apolonia and many more. Borussia Düsseldorf and ASV Grünwettersbach are two teams that have reached the cup semi-finals in the past few days and have already been able to add their names to the list of title winners in the recent past.

Grünwettersbach pulled off the big coup in 2020 and secured the first title in the club's history after winning the doubles against Saarbrücken and Ochsenhausen. Düsseldorf have already triumphed 27 times, although their most recent success was almost three years ago. In the past two seasons, Borussia lost one final each time. Grünwettersbach and Düsseldorf will meet in the semi-finals on January 7 and battle it out for a place in the final. Incidentally, the two clubs will meet beforehand in the German Table Tennis League (TTBL). The match as part of the 8th matchday will take place next Thursday, November 23, and will be broadcast live on Dyn as usual.
