The next thriller: Fulda prevails against Bremen
The next match in the final double. TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell wins against SV Werder Bremen on Matchday 13 of the German Table Tennis League (TTBL). Alexandre Cassin and Fan Bo Meng tipped the scales in the end.
Before the match, SV Werder Bremen stood with a points balance of 12:12, its opponent from Fulda with a balance of 8:16. That is not much difference in the TTBL, which was also seen on this evening in Fulda. Bremen came with Kirill Gerassimenko, Mattias Falck and Cristian Pletea, in Fulda Chun Ting Wong, Fan Bo Meng and Alexandre Cassin served.
None of the singles went to the fifth set, yet the maximum number of games took place: Wong won his first game 3:1 against Kirill Gerassimenko, Meng on the other hand lost against Mattias Falck 3:1. Also after that the match remained balanced. Alexandra Cassin won for Fulda against Cristian Pletea, while Mattias Falck earned another point for Bremen with his 3:0 win over Chun Tin Wong.
Fulda wins in doubles
The final doubles match was decided by Cassin and Meng when they beat Gerassimenk. hen they won 3:1 against Gerassimenko and Pletea to decide the match 3:2 for Fulda. "Of course, you always go to the match to win," said Bremen's Mattias Falck after the defeat. However, he added that the lineup had already indicated a close game.
With the long match, the 13th matchday in the TTBL is almost over. On Sunday, Borussia Düsseldorf and TSV Bad Königshofen will meet. The match will be broadcast by Spontent.
