Spectator record: Over 65,000 TTBL spectators for the first time

In the 2024/2025 season, several spectator records were broken in the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) during the main round. 66,815 spectators attended a total of 132 matches, the best attendance since the data has been recorded. Compared to the previous season, this is an increase in spectators of 37 percent. Calculated over 132 matches, this results in an average of over 500 spectators per match.
Before breaking the 65,000 spectator barrier, had reached an all-time high of 52,980 fans in the 2009/2010 season. In the post-Olympic season, all clubs reached a total attendance of at least 3,000 fans at their home matches for the first time. Compared to the previous season (48,849 spectators), the twelve clubs recorded an overall increase of 37% in the final season. However, twelve clubs competed in the current season, while only eleven teams played in the previous season, meaning that a total of 22 more matches were played. The average number of spectators also increased by 14% compared to the previous season.
In the upcoming play-off round with at least four semi-final matches (Düsseldorf against TSV Bad Königshofen and TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen against 1. FC Saarbrücken TT) as well as the final match on June 15 in the Süwag Energie ARENA in Frankfurt, the TTBL can look forward to exceeding the 70,000 spectator mark in a season for the first time.
