Saarbrücken in play-offs: Franziska praises team spirit

National table tennis player Patrick Franziska sees the team spirit at Champions League winners 1. FC Saarbrücken TT as an important reason for their early entry into the play-off round. "You can see that we're all having fun and that it's working - and you can see that in our results," said the World Championship bronze medallist in doubles on the Dyn microphone after the runners-up's decisive 3-0 win at TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen.

With their fourth win in a row, leaders Saarbrücken are the first team in the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) who can no longer drop out of the four final round rankings even if they lose all of their remaining five main round matches. The three other semi-finalists have not yet been decided.

Before the Champions League final tournament in their own hall (31 March/1 April; tickets are available here), the secured play-off participation means more focused preparation for the international highlight of the season for the defending champions. This is another reason why his team is "mega happy" about the success against Ochsenhausen, Franziska continued.
