Saarbrücken also grabs home win against Bergneustadt

The series of even games on the 13th matchday of the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) continues: 1. FC Saarbrücken-TT wins against TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt. This means that in all four matches this Friday, the home teams won.

Right at the beginning, Omar Assar and Darko Jorgic delivered a strong exchange of blows, which Jorgic decided for himself and his Saarbrücken team after five sets. Then it was the turn of the guests: Benedikt Duda won 3:1 against Takuya Jin, Romain Ruiz against Cedric Nuytinck. In the fourth singles Darko Jorgic made his singles record perfect: he won 3:1 against Benedikt Duda.

Nuytinck and Polansky triumphant

As so often on this match day, the match between Saarbrücken and Bergneustadt again went to the final doubles between Cedric Nuytinck/Tomas Polansky (Saarbrücken) and Romain Ruiz/Alberto Mino (Bergneustadt). The hosts from Saarbrücken lost the first set 10:12, but then they won two sets clearly, 11:7 and 11:2. In the fourth set the guests made it exciting again: They caught up, but finally had to admit defeat 3:1. Final score: 3:2 for the 1st FC Saarbrücken-TT.

The 13th matchday in the TTBL will be completed on Sunday by the match between Borussia Düsseldorf and TSV Bad Königshofen. On Thursday, ASV Grünwettersbach had already won 3:0 against the promoted team from 1. FSV Mainz 05.
