Personnel change at 1. FC Saarbrücken-TT

1.FC Saarbrücken-TT has once again become active on the transfer market and brings in Cedric Meissner, Tomas Polansky leaves the club in return.

With the signing of German U23 international Cedric Meissner, 1. FC Saarbrücken-TT has completed its squad planning for the 2023/2024 season. After the club already presented Yuto Muramatsu from 1. FSV Mainz 05 as a new signing at the beginning of the year, they now announced Cedric Meissner as the final building block in their squad planning.

The left-hander moves to the Saar from the current leader of the 2nd division, TTC OE Bad Homburg. With Bad Homburg he was already in the TTBL in the 2021/22 season and played there a 1:12 record. Currently, he can boast an impressive 13:2 record in the 2nd division and would like to build on that performance next season.

"I was very surprised when I received the offer from FCS - I am very happy to go to the table for a top German club. I want to take the next step in my career and Saarbrücken is the right club for that!"

Nicolas Barrois, team manager of the 1st FC Saarbrücken Table Tennis, is happy about the signing: "Ceddy will be extremely valuable for us in terms of play and humanity. He has attracted attention in the past with victories over Patrick Franziska or Feng (Grenzau) - he is also a good doubles player."

Meissner will support the TTBL team as number 5. With this it is also clear that Tomas Polansky will leave the club after the current season. The talks with the Czech national player, who has been wearing the blue-black jersey for 6 years, were positive, however, it was agreed relatively quickly that Polansky needs more assignments. His destination is still unknown.
