The 1st FC Saarbrücken-TT maintains its place in the top group of the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL). The cup winner won 3:1 at promoted Mainz 05 on matchday 5.

2 wins, 6:0 sets! With a flawless record, Patrick Franziska led the guests from Saarbrücken to victory. The national player remained without a set loss against Andrej Andrei Putuntica as well as in the last singles match of the day against Luka Mladenovic. Takuya Jin secured the third point for the Saarlanders, also against Luka Mladenovic, in five sets (6:11, 4:11, 11:5, 11:8, 6:11). Yuto Muramatsu secured the point of honor for the promoted team against Cedric Nuytinck.
