Groth returns to Fulda - Ovtcharov stays until 2027

National table tennis player Dimitrij Ovtcharov will continue to play for Bundesliga club TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell for the next two years. The club from Hesse announced the extension of the 36-year-old's expiring contract until 2027.
At the same time, the play-off contender announced further notable personnel. Former double European champion Jonathan Groth signed in Fulda for the third time in 13 years. In addition, Taiwan's Kao Cheng-Jui, former European Championship runner-up Ruwen Filus and former team runner-up Fanbo Meng extended their contracts with the former DM runners-up.
Fulda is likely to be one of the biggest favorites for the title, especially due to Groth's signing for the new season. In addition to the returnee, Ovtcharov and Kao are also currently in the top 25 of the world rankings.
