No Jorgic record at the Europe Top 16

At the Europe Top 16 in Montreux, Darko Jorgic missed out on a record in the traditional tournament due to his defeat in the final against Alexis Lebrun. Patrick Franziska was the best German to reach the semi-finals.
At the Europe Top 16 in Montreux, Darko Jorgic (1. FC Saarbrücken TT) had the opportunity to immortalize himself in the annals, but Alexis Lebrun spoiled a record for the Slovenian in the 54-year history of the important traditional tournament: Franziska's Saarbrücken club colleague Jorgic missed the chance to become the first player to win the title four times in a row due to his 3:1 defeat in the final against the world number ten.
World number eight Patrick Franziska (Saarbrücken) was the best German to reach the semi-finals. However, three years after winning the title, the 32-year-old missed out on reaching the final again after losing 3:1 to the French European champion and eventual tournament winner Alexis Lebrun.
