Matchday 11: Mühlhausen gives itself a christmas present
The clash between Post SV Mühlhausen and TSV Bad Königshofen was eagerly awaited by many. And they were not disappointed: Mühlhausen ultimately won 3:1, but the match was full of excitement.
The match between the two league rivals began with a highlight - Steffen Mengel against Bastian Steger. Mengel won the first set 11:5, but the next set went to his opponent. Mengel took the lead once more, but ultimately had to concede defeat to Steger from Bad Königshofen by an increasingly clear 2:3.
Next five-set thriller in Mühlhausen's favor
Next clash: Ovidiu Ionescu against Filip Zeljko. Ionescu initially looked set for a clear victory, taking a 2:0 lead. However, Zeljko then prevailed in a nerve-wracking 15:17 set, followed by a 13:11 victory. Ionescu finally regained his form and won the match 3:2.
After the two opening five-setters, the match went more and more clearly to Mühlhausen. Daniel Habesohn won 3:1 against Martin Allegro, Steffen Mengel finally secured two points with his 3:0 win against Zeljko. Post SV now has a points balance of 12:8 just before Christmas.
