The heart of the cup beats in southern Germany again in 2023: On January 8, the Liebherr Cup Final will decide which team wins the first title of the season. The venue for the final four tournament for the German Table Tennis Cup will be the ratiopharm arena in Ulm/Neu-Ulm. Once again, thousands of fans will be able to attend the event, ticketing for which started today (Wednesday).

The year 2023 will start with a sporting highlight: For the eighth time in a row, the Liebherr Cup Final will be held in the ratiopharm arena to decide which team will win the first title of the season. Thus, the multifunctional arena in Ulm/Neu-Ulm will once again be the venue for the Final Four tournament, in which the four best teams of the cup season will fight for the trophy in the semifinals and final on one day. After the Final Four event unfortunately had to take place without spectators in the past two years, we are looking forward to many fans live on site and a great atmosphere in the ratiopharm arena. It all starts on January 8, 2023 at 11 a.m. with the semifinals, which will be played in parallel on two tables as usual. Admission to the hall is already 90 minutes before the start of the two matches. After the two semifinals, the final will be played to determine the Cup winner of the 2022/23 season.

Which four teams will wrestle for the cup victory in January will be decided in the coming weeks: For this purpose, TTC Neu-Ulm and Post SV Mühlhausen will duel each other. The winner of this match will then meet the winner of the match between TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen and TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau in the semifinals. Which clubs will battle it out for the title in the second semifinal at the ratiopharm arena Ulm/Neu-Ulm will be decided between defending champions 1. FC Saarbrücken TT and ASV Grünwettersbach, and between TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell and reigning German champions Borussia Düsseldorf.
