Liebherr Cup Final Four 2024 already sold out: Around 5,000 fans attend the title showdown on Sunday

The Liebherr Cup Final Four is going from record to record: a record of 4,600 spectators was set in 2020, which was broken again in 2023 - after two events without spectators due to the pandemic - with 5,000 spectators. Just a few days before the title showdown, the German Table Tennis League (TTBL) can look forward to confirming last year's record. 5,000 spectators will be in attendance at the ratiopharm arena Ulm/Neu-Ulm next Sunday, January 7, to experience world-class table tennis and, of course, ensure a title-worthy atmosphere. The Liebherr Cup Final Four 2024 is therefore sold out; remaining tickets may be available via returns and possibly in the TTBL online ticket store.

"We can welcome four absolute top teams with their world-class players to the Liebherr Cup Final Four 2024 and all fans will experience a real table tennis festival. We are already looking forward to the excitement and the very special atmosphere," says Nico Stehle, Managing Director of the organizing Tischtennis Bundesliga GmbH. "The fact that the spectator response is so great again this year makes me very happy and speaks not only for the great interest in table tennis, but also for the quality of the event," adds Nico Stehle. "Many thanks to all the fans, but also to all the sponsors, helpers and supporters!"

Alle Partien live bei Dyn - Highlights bei den öffentlich-rechtlichen TV-Sendern und auf SPORT1

But of course it's not just the spectators in the ratiopharm arena who can join in the excitement on Sunday. All three games of the day will be broadcast live and in full length on Dyn. ARD's main TV program will also report on the event in a summary lasting several minutes on the day of the event and Saarländischer Rundfunk (SR) will broadcast a 30-minute special on the Liebherr Cup Final Four 2024 on Sunday evening at 6.45 p.m. A detailed summary of the table tennis highlight can be seen on SPORT1 on the following Monday, January 8, from 6.30 p.m. The event will also be available as a re-live and in various highlight formats on Dyn after the end of the match.

Two players will be reunited with their former club in the semi-finals of the Liebherr Cup Final Four 2024 on Sunday: Ricardo Walther (formerly Borussia Düsseldorf) and his club ASV Grünwettersbach will challenge record cup winners Borussia Düsseldorf led by Dang Qiu (formerly ASV Grünwettersbach). At the other table, the local hero will be fighting for a place in the final: TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen with the current world No. 5 Hugo Calderano will face the reigning Champions League winners 1. FC Saarbrücken TT. After a short changeover break, the grand final will finally take place and it will be decided which team can celebrate the first title of the season.
