Leapmotor Expands Its Table Tennis Sponsorship and Becomes the Title Sponsor of the 2026 Cup Grand Opening in Nuremberg
A Strong Partnership Taken to the Next Level: Leapmotor is expanding its involvement with the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) and will become the new title partner of the 2026 Cup Grand Opening. In addition, the innovative Chinese electric vehicle brand will serve as the presenting partner for the inaugural German-Chinese Economic Forum, which will make its debut as part of the event.
Following its initial partnership with German table tennis, the German Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) and Leapmotor are further expanding their successful collaboration. By extending this partnership, the company is sending a clear signal of its long-term commitment to German table tennis while also underscoring the sport’s importance as a unifying force between Germany and China.
As the official naming and mobility partner, Leapmotor will provide comprehensive support for the 2026 Pokal Grand Opening. The brand will be prominently visible in the event’s branding, on TV and in the venues, as well as through the TTBL’s digital communication channels. This commitment will be complemented by a variety of on-site activations, including vehicle presentations and exclusive hospitality offerings for guests and partners.
Another key component of the expanded partnership is the German-Chinese Economic Forum presented by Leapmotor, which will take place for the first time as part of the 2026 Cup Grand Opening. This new event format was launched by the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) in collaboration with the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Frankfurt am Main and the Academy of German World Market Leaders (ADWM), and is designed to bring together high-ranking representatives from the worlds of business, politics, and sports. As the presenting partner, Leapmotor lends the forum additional prestige and, through its role as an innovative Chinese automaker, underscores the close connection between sports, mobility, and the German-Chinese economic dialogue. Among other things, the company will contribute to the program with a management presence and will be visible in the hospitality and communications areas surrounding the event.
“With this expansion of our commitment, Leapmotor is becoming one of the TTBL’s most important partners. The fact that our Grand Opening Cup will bear our partner’s name in the future and that Leapmotor is supporting the newly created German-Chinese Economic Forum as a presenting partner demonstrates the high level of mutual trust and opens up new opportunities for us to connect sports, business, and international networking,” says TTBL Managing Director Nico Stehle.
Martin Resch, Head of Leapmotor Germany, adds: “Our partnership with the TTBL has developed exceptionally well from the very beginning. By expanding our commitment, we aim not only to further strengthen our brand within the table tennis community but also to support German-Chinese exchange as part of the new Economic Forum. After all, it is this international exchange that has made Leapmotor’s market launch in Germany and Europe a success. A passion for sports, innovative mobility, and international networking go hand in hand—and that is exactly what our partnership with table tennis and the TTBL stands for.”
With this expanded partnership, the TTBL and Leapmotor are continuing their shared vision of bringing the thrill of table tennis to life, reaching new target audiences, and simultaneously creating innovative opportunities for exchange between sports, business, and society.
