Just 25 days to go until the Leapmotor Cup Grand Opening: Get three tickets for the price of two now

Just 25 days to go until the first highlight of the table tennis season: on 29 and 30 August 2026, 16 teams will come together at the Leapmotor Cup Grand Opening at the Kia Metropol Arena in Nuremberg – twelve matches over two days, all in one place. If you don’t want to come on your own, now’s the time to act. The Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) ticket shop is currently running a ‘3-for-2’ offer: get three tickets, pay for just two.

The weekend of 29–30 August 2026 is fast approaching, and with it comes a format unlike anything seen before: the round of 16 and quarter-finals of the German Table Tennis Cup, all packed into a single weekend at a central venue. All twelve TTBL teams and the four qualifiers from the cup’s preliminary round will battle it out in a knockout format at the Leapmotor Cup Grand Opening in the Kia Metropol Arena for the four places in the Liebherr Cup Final4. Twelve matches, two days: anyone who wants to be there should make the most of the remaining 25 days.

The perfect offer for clubs, training groups and groups of friends is currently available in the official ticket shop of the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL). A ‘3-for-2’ promotion is currently running there: if you book three tickets, you pay for just two. How does it work? Simply select your preferred seat in the ticket shop and click on the ‘3-for-2 offer’ – the discount will be applied straight away. Tickets are available for Saturday (round of 16), for Sunday (quarter-finals) and as a combined ticket for the whole weekend.

Leapmotor Cup Grand Opening: The top table tennis stars all in one place

From a sporting perspective, everything is set for an event of the highest calibre. Rarely has the international table tennis elite been so densely gathered in one place over a single weekend: expected to attend the Leapmotor Cup Grand Opening are, amongst others, Olympic champions Fan Zhendong and Dang Qiu (both Borussia Düsseldorf), Hugo Calderano and Patrick Franziska (both 1. FC Saarbrücken TT), Dimitrij Ovtcharov (TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell) and Shunsuke Togami (TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen), as well as numerous other top stars. Anyone wanting to experience the TTBL elite live will find them all here in one place.

And that’s over two full days: on Saturday, the round of 16 will take place, played in two sessions from 11 am and 3 pm respectively, with four tables in each session. Non-stop table tennis at the very highest level is therefore guaranteed. On Sunday, the quarter-finals will follow, also taking place in two sessions starting at 11 am and 3 pm. So if you want to be there on 29 and 30 August, you should secure your ticket now. Orders specifying exact seats can be made via the official TTBL ticket shop, by telephone on 0761 888499 99, and at all known ticket outlets.
