The showdown in the German Table Tennis League (TTBL) will take place between the two best teams in Europe: Borussia Düsseldorf and 1. FC Saarbrücken TT have prevailed in the play-offs and will fight for the title in the Liebherr TTBL final on June 30. Tickets for the top event are still available in all categories.

The record champions wavered briefly, but were not brought down in the play-offs of the German Table Tennis League (TTBL). With victory in the third and deciding duel against TSV Bad Königshofen on Sunday, Borussia Düsseldorf secured another place in the Liebherr TTBL final. Timo Boll and Co. will face 1. FC Saarbrücken TT in the Süwag Energie Arena in Frankfurt on June 30. The Champions League winners secured their place in the final once again with a 3:0 and a 3:2 against SV Werder Bremen. Düsseldorf had lost the first duel with Bad Königshofen 1:3, but won both home games 3:0.

This means that the two giants will clash again in the last match of the season. Düsseldorf and Saarbrücken have already faced each other in the Liebherr TTBL final in the past three years, with the record champions coming out on top each time - last year with a 3:1 victory. This encounter also took place twice in the Champions League, with Saarbrücken coming out on top in spectacular matches.
