Gauzy leaves Ochsenhausen after twelve years

The former top 10 player is returning to his native France.

In the German Table Tennis League (TTBL), it's not just the “Timo Boll era” that is coming to an end at the end of the season: French team runner-up Simon Gauzy is leaving cup winners TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen in the summer after twelve years. According to the Upper Swabians, the 30-year-old, who climbed to eighth place in the world rankings in 2018, will return to his home country for the new season with an as yet unknown destination.

Gauzy won the league and cup double in the Ochsenhausen jersey in 2019 and the German Cup again at the start of the year. Last year, the right-hander won Olympic bronze with France's national team in front of his home crowd at the Summer Games in Paris after winning silver at the World Championships.
