Feng Yi-Hsin extends contract with TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau by two years
TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau is not only continuing its success story in the German Table Tennis League (TTBL) with three wins in a row recently. The Westerwald club has now also made its third important personnel decision: Feng Yi-Hsin has extended his contract in Brexbachtal for another two years - like TTC head coach Slobodan Grujic and Maciej Kubik before him.
"We already emphasized how important long-term planning is to us when we extended the contracts with Bobo and Maciej," says TTC Chairman Olaf Gstettner. "The fact that we have now also extended Feng for two years is the next very important signal for the future and shows that the players are also keen to continue on the path we have taken together with us."
The young Taiwanese player (21) recently contributed two important singles victories in the away match in Bremen to the success at Werder, which brought the TTC level on points with the fourth-placed team in the table. With a record of 12 wins and only five defeats, Feng Yi-Hsin is in eighth place in the player rankings in the German Table Tennis League. Grenzau's top player is also a member of Taiwan's national squad.
"I really enjoy playing here in Grenzau and the people at the TTC are just great," says Feng Yi-Hsin. "I will continue to do my best and hope that we can compete for the playoffs in the future. Personally, I want to keep developing and win more games for Grenzau. In any case, I will do everything I can to ensure that we are successful as a team."
"I'm delighted that Feng has extended his contract," says Slobodan Grujic. "He has developed very well here with us and has matured into a real number one despite his young age. Feng always has a lot of fun and passion and gives his all for the team. We focus on continuity and his contract extension is another important step in this direction."
TTC manager Markus Ströher is also looking forward to more years of Feng in Grenzau: "As Bobo has already said, Feng has developed into a real number one. But he is also important for this team outside of sport and fits perfectly into the team structure. That's why we're all very happy that we were able to reach an agreement with him for two more years in Grenzau. We are continuing to develop steadily and are looking forward to a good sporting future. The course has at least been set."
