Darko Jorgic remains at 1. FC Saarbrücken TT: Contract extension until 2027

1. FC C Saarbrücken Table Tennis is pleased to announce the contract extension with top player Darko Jorgic! The 26-year-old Slovenian will remain with the club for a further two years, underlining the continuity in the Bundesliga club's squad.
A key player for the FCS
Darko Jorgic has been a mainstay of 1. FC Saarbrücken for years. With his impressive playing strength, he has contributed significantly to the club's greatest successes, including two national titles and strong performances in the Champions League. Most recently, he reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious World Cup, once again proving his class on the international stage.
“I feel incredibly at home at FCS - both on a sporting and personal level,” says Darko Jorgic. “The environment, the team and the fans give me the feeling of being at home. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming challenges with this great club.”
A sign for the future
The contract extension is a strong signal of the FCS's ambitions. “We are very happy that Darko will continue to wear the blue and black jersey,” emphasizes Erwin Berg, the club's sporting director. “He is an absolute top performer who has matured into a top player in Saarbrücken. We want to continue attacking at the top with him.”

In the current season, Jorgic has struggled with minor fluctuations in form, but the positive results in the second half of the season and the last-minute entry into the play-offs show that the Slovenian is on the way back to his old strength. The club and players are convinced that the coming years will be characterized by success again.
