Cup quarter-finals 2024/25 drawn: Fulda at home against Bremen, Saarbrücken to face 1 FC Köln
A real treat awaits all fans in the quarter-finals of the German Table Tennis Cup: current table tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) leaders TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell and top star Dimitrij Ovtcharov will face current second-placed SV Werder Bremen. All quarter-final matches will be played by November 17 at the latest.
Only one match separates the quarter-final participants in the German Table Tennis Cup from the Liebherr Cup Final Four, in which the first title decision of the season will be made in January 2025. TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell and its top star Dimitrij Ovtcharov have a tough draw in the quarter-finals. The current table-toppers in the German Table Tennis League (TTBL) will host SV Werder Bremen, currently second in the table, in their own hall. FC Saarbrücken TT with German international Patrick Franziska, who lost to Borussia Düsseldorf in the Liebherr Cup final last season, will play away at second-division club 1. FC Köln.
TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen and ASC Grünwettersbach are once again hoping to make it to the Liebherr Cup Final Four. Both teams reached the semi-finals last season. This year, the two teams will go head-to-head in the quarter-finals, with ASC Grünwettersbach having home court advantage.
The two teams from TSV Bad Königshofen and TTC OE Bad Homburg also have their sights set on the Cup Final Four. TSV Bad Königshofen was defeated in the quarter-finals last season, but this year they are hoping to make it to the Cup Final Four at home against the promoted team from Hesse.
