"With Leo, we are consistently continuing our path of bringing young players to the TTBL. We are very happy that Leo decided to join us despite numerous offers from abroad and the Bundesliga. I am especially pleased that we can continue the Chinese tradition that we built around Li Bing in the 90s in the Bundesliga" said Tomasz Kasica (sporting director Mainz 05).
Li Yongyin: "I am very excited to play for 1. FSV Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga next season. The players in the Bundesliga are at a very high level. The best players in Europe and also many top players in the world rankings play here. I will do my best to win as many games as possible and show the spectators my best performance."
