Bergneustadt announces newcomer from the 2. league
TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt signs Belgium's young talent Adrien Rassenfosse.
The 19-year-old Belgian Adrien Rassenfosse is moving to Bergneustadt from second-division team 1. FC Köln for the upcoming season. "We have had Adrien on our radar for two years now. Now the time had come to offer this talent a place in a TTBL team. We are excited about his development and hope that he will master the jump to the TTBL," said Heinz Duda.
The young right-hander is currently ranked 101 in the world and now has a top 100 ranking right in front of his eyes. Strong performances at the WTT Feeder in Antalya, where he finished second, helped him move up 64 places to his current position. In the process, he beat Quek Izaac, who beat Mattias Falck and Sharath Kamal Achanta at the Grand Samsh in Singapore, among others.
He also showed great strength at the National Championships in Belgium recently, finishing first in the singles, beating Robin Devos, Martin Allegro and Florent Lambiet. Together with Louis Laffineur, he also made it to the podium in doubles, taking the bronze medal. He has a 13-6 record in the 2nd division, where he currently plays for 1. FC Köln, in the 2022/2023 season.
Adrien Rassenfosse on his move: "I'm really looking forward to the new season. I will try to play my best table tennis, develop myself and above all help the club as much as I can!"
