Allegro from Bad Königshofen to Grenzau

The Belgian national table tennis player Martin Allegro is leaving the Bundesliga club TSV Bad Königshofen at the end of the season and will play for first division relegation candidates TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau in the future. This was announced by Allegro's current club on Monday. It is not known how long the Olympic participant has committed himself to the former champions from the Westerwald.

Allegro had originally only wanted to make a decision between extending his contract with last year's semi-finalists Bad Königshofen, which was due to expire after a total of three years, and a move to France. The 28-year-old had ruled out playing for another Bundesliga club until the very end.

Bad Königshofen thus loses its second player at the end of the season after top man Jin Ueda, who is returning to his home country of Japan. So far, the club of former champion Bastian Steger has only signed 19-year-old Andre Bertelsmeier from second division club 1. FC Köln as a new signing for the new season.
