AFTER VICTORY AGAINST BREMEN: DÜSSELDORF MOVES TO THE TOP OF THE TABLE

The German Table Tennis League (TTBL) has a new league leader after the first three games of match day 3: Borussia from Düsseldorf remain unbeaten. Timo Boll's team prevailed against SV Werder Bremen in a narrow 3:2 victory.

"It was a really hard-fought game," says Timo Boll after the last rally. The effort is written all over his face. Shortly before, he had won the redeeming points against Christian Pletea and Marcelo Aguirre in the final doubles match with Kay Stumper.

Källberg gets off to a dream start

Anton Källberg had set an exclamation mark right at the start of the match with his 3:0 win against Christian Pletea. He won the sets 11:7, 11:2 and 11:8. His team-mate Kay Stumper then had a tougher time from Düsseldorf's point of view, losing 3-0 to Mattias Falck.

Boll puts Borussia ahead

Timo Boll finally put Borussia ahead with a 3:1 win against Marcelo Aguirre, then Mattias Falck equalized for Bremen with a 3:1 win against Anton Källberg. In the end, it went to the final double, which finally gave Düsseldorf the winning point.
