11 clubs apply for license for 2023/24 season

Eleven of the twelve clubs in the German Table Tennis League (TTBL) have submitted their license applications for the 2023/24 season on time. TTC Neu-Ulm is not submitting a license application, and there are no applications from the 2nd Bundesliga.

In addition to the applications from eleven of the twelve first division clubs, no club from the 2nd Bundesliga has applied on time to play in the Tischtennis Bundesliga (TTBL) in the 2023/24 season. The current first division club TTC Neu-Ulm did not submit a license application. The first stage of the licensing process for the upcoming season is thus complete. In the coming weeks, the applicants will now face the license review process, in which the clubs' legal, personnel, administrative, infrastructural and financial criteria will be examined.

If all applicants meet the necessary requirements for participation in the game, the TTBL would consist of eleven clubs next season. Since there is no promoted team, the eleventh and twelfth places in the table of the current season entitle the clubs to participate in the 2023/24 season, according to the replenishment regulation of the TTBL playing regulations.
